Santa Pictures 2012

Well, it was an interesting photo session with Santa Clause this year.  The kids were excited to see Santa, but when we arrived at the North Pole both Johnny and Shaine had different emotional reactions when meeting good ole' Saint Nick.  Shaine didn't hesitate to go sit on his lap, but she wouldn't say a word.  She became very shy, but you can tell she was enjoying the one-way conversation.  Johnny on the other hand was scared to death.  He would only sit close to Santa if Mike and I were next to him, and we couldn't get either child to smile.  It's a bit disappointing to have photos without smiles, but Mike and both feel it's also important to capture the moment and their true feelings.  We can look back and say, "See, you guys were pretty intimidated and scared of Santa Clause."  At the end of it all the kids did tell Santa what they wanted for Christmas.  Johnny wants a Buzz Light year, and Shaine wants a Woody.  So cute!

No More Bed Rails

Back in June the kids had switched from cribs to toddler beds without any problems.  The day before Halloween we decided to give the kids a shot at sleeping without their bed rails.  We assumed  the rails had given the kids a sense of security and they wouldn't sleep without them, but we were totally wrong.  They were so excited to try sleeping without the bed-rails, and they did it without any problems. Shaine woke form nap and sat at the edge of her bed and told me, "Mommy I like my bed like this".  It was sooooo freaking cute.  Here are some before and after pictures of the in their beds.  I quietly snapped a couple photos of them while they were sleeping.

Trick Or Treat

Johnny and Shaine Trick or Treating

HALLOWEEN 2012!!!

All went well on Halloween night for the family.  Grandma Mary came over to help hand out candy to our neighborhood trick-or-treaters while Mike and I took Johnny and Shaine door-to-door.  This was the first time the kids went trick-or-treating and they were soooooo AWESOME!!!!  They had no problem walking up to the doors and saying, "TRICK-OR-TREAT", and then they would  say "Thank you or Happy Halloween!!  Johnny was dressed up as a NASA astronaut, and Shaine was a princess with wings.  She kind of mixed and matched her outfit, but it was whatever made her happy.  We were all fortunate to have a dry evening without rain.  Now mommy and daddy are really excited to eat some candy...and there's allot of chocolate left!!!  Yummy!!!  Thanks kiddos.
