Toddler Beds

Well, we have officially switched the cribs into toddler beds.  Johnny has been climbing out of his crib for a couple weeks now so we decided it was time.  We've been prolonging the switch because we know it will be quite an adjustment for the kids, and of course for mommy and daddy.  Our first night in toddler beds was last night, and things went better than expected.  After putting the kids to bed it was pretty quiet for about 5 minutes, and then I heard some chatting and walking around.  I walked into their room and the two of them were out of bed playing with the nightlight.  This happened again about 10 minutes later so I took the nightlight out of the room leaving it completely dark.  I never heard another sound until approximately 2 hours later when Mike and I were sitting on the couch downstairs.  Through the monitor we hear a thump, and then a loud cry.  Yep...Shaine had rolled off her bed.  She wasn't hurt... in fact she said so...just scared.  I had to pull out the bed rail and after that the kiddos slept through the night.  They also went right to sleep during their naps today.  I couldn't believe it!  They never got out of their beds.  Oh yeah...they love their Big Boy/Big Girl beds.

While mommy was upstairs getting dressed Shaine decided to eat a blue crayon.  Not only was it all over her face and in her teeth, but on her arms, feet, hands, and...Johnny.

Here's Shaine hugging her adorable little friend Charolette.  She's 16 months and a sweetie.
