It's been a wonderful and busy Easter weekend. Friday we drove out to Mercer Island to visit some ball players Mike use to coach and watch them play. The twins loved being outdoors and were very adventurous. It was so nice to visit with all the parents that we haven't seen since last baseball season. They were all so wonderful with the kiddos and of course we ate up all the compliments. Thanks to Jeff Mitchell, Doug Breshears, and Gina Swift for spoiling our babies. They just loved you guys and so do we!!!!!!!
Saturday we spent most of the day outdoors. We went to a local park and let Johnny and Shaine run around and play until they were tired. First we hung out and climbed on everything at the playground, and then we went strolling around in the grass. Johnny just wanted to wander around everywhere, and Shaine would pick dandelions. They're so much fun to be with. We love you dearly.
Easter Sunday we drove out to Belllingham and spent the day with grandma Lynda and grandpa Dick. Lynda made 2 more adorable hats for the twins, and they had a blast exploring everything at their house. With both kiddos walking it's been tough trying to keep up with the both of them. Thank you to grandma Mary for the adorable Easter baskets she had made for Johnny and Shaine. They loved playing with them, especially Shaine because we all know she loves snuggling with soft animals.

Baby Update-April 2011
Johnny and Shaine sure stay busy, and boy do they keep mom and dad on our toes. Both kiddos are walking, and Shaine is starting to pick up the pace a little more each day. We're still battling runny noses and coughs, but it hasn't stopped their curiosity or energy level. Johnny tries to climb on everything. We have a small step ladder that he likes to climb on, and he also tries to climb on our wine-rack. Let's put it this way...if he can go up...he's going up. Shaine is a busy bee, but she's starting to analyze and absorb allot of information. It's amazing how fast they're learning. We're really getting a kick out of both babies trying to talk. They're starting to repeat things that we say and it's sooooo cooooool. Of course there's baby-chatter all day long and the laughs keep coming. See what our little turkey-pot-pies have been up to lately...

A musician in the family
Looks like we might have a musician in the family. Our little girl Shaine has picked up playing the harmonica. It's actually quite cute and funny. Johnny can play the harmonica really good too, but you have to hold it up to his mouth otherwise he tries to swallow the whole thing. Check out the short video below.

Staying home with colds
Well, both babies have had colds for over a week now. Because of their runny noses we haven't done much, but stay home and try to get better. All these rainy days here in Marysville have been a big bummer.
A very rare photo opportunity
Here's our dog Blue, and our 2 kitties Lil "G", and the "Fuzz" all together...very speical and rare.

Ocean Shores
Early Saturday morning we drove out to Ocean Shores for our first out-of-town trip with the babies. The drive was about 4 hours and the twins did great! No crying or fussing of any kind, and Shaine never took a nap the entire day. We met up with grandma Mary who was already there with Auntie Jenn and our niece's and nephew Andraya, Sienna, and Camryn. The weather was a bit cold so we didn't spend too much time on the beach, but we did go swimming for the first time and boy did the babies just love it! We had pizza with everyone for dinner, then woke at 6am the next morning. We all gathered for breakfast, did a little shopping, then headed back home around noon. The twins slept the entire drive home which was about 3 hours. We couldn't be more happy on how well the twins did considering they had colds. Unfortunately I didn't get allot of pictures with the family. I HUGE, GIANT, THANK YOU to Grandma Mary!! WE LOVE YOU SO MUCH!!! We love it when you spend time the twins, and our time together this weekend just didn't seem long enough. It was a nice getaway. Thank you Andraya, Sienna, and Camryn for being the COOLEST cousins ever!!!!!!
