Seaside Oregon!

Yeah!!  This past weekend we took a trip to Seaside Oregon.  It was a very quiet and quick 4 hour drive with one stop along the way.  We really enjoyed our time away and Johnny & Shaine did so good on our getaway.  Seaside had allot to offer for a 3 day visit.  We had a room with a view that was located directly on the boardwalk, and at the end of the Lewis and Clark Trail.  There was shopping, food, a carousel, an aquarium, swimming, swings, and much more.  Below are a couple pages of pictures and videos from our weekend.

Our first day on the Beach....it was really windy for about an hour

SALTY!

GOONIES!!!!!!

Remember the movie GOONIES?...Yep...this is where the very last scene was filmed.  We really enjoyed hanging out at the beach even when the wind picked up.  It wasn't quite warm enough to go into the water, but I think the kids liked playing in the sand more than anything.  Wait...I take that back.  On Boardwalk Blvd. there is a shopping mall with a carousel, and that's what they wanted to do the most.

The Aquarium

The Seaside Aquarium was a 2 minute walk from our hotel.  It's small but the kids really enjoyed it.  We had fun feeding the seals and touching star fish.

Riding the Surrey

We had so much fun riding the surrey around the downtown area of Seaside.  You can ride in the street along side cars and ring the little bell at people passing by.  It was so much fun waving at all the other folks who were also driving surreys.  Some surreys can carry up to 8 people, but as you can see we only needed 4.  For those who don't know what a surrey is...it's a large bicycle that takes allot of leg power.
We parked for lunch and the kiddos ate Cheetos for the first time.
