CALIFORNIA!!

Our visit to California was wonderful, but all too short.  I am so grateful that Johnny and Shaine were able to spend everyday with my parents.  We also spent time with great grandma who is 91, and still rockin'!!  My sister Sherry just loved spending time with the kids, and both kiddos just loved her.  She was always making the kids laugh...thanks Bob.  I wish I would have taken more photos, but it's hard when you're constantly doing things.  We loved seeing our niece's Adara and Sarah.  Boy do kids grow fast.
Unfortunately after we left my dad had an injury on his camping trip.  He is currently in the hospital with 4 broken ribs with multiple fractures to each one.  He's seems to be doing O.K., but in allot of pain.  You're in my prayers dad and we hope you get to go home soon.  I love you!!
----Oh yeah...while we were out at the park there was about 5 different Quincenera's.  If you don't know what a Quincenera is, it's a Mexican tradition to have a huge celebration for a young girls 15th birthday.  Kind of like sweet 16, but much more extravagant.  Everyone looks like they're in a wedding party.  The dresses we saw were absolutely gorgeous.  The last photo I took looks like it's from a Bridal catalog, but it was only a Quincenera.

HALLOWEEN

This Halloween mommy stayed home with Johnny & Shaine and handed out candy.  We had tons of trick-or-treaters.  I'm sure our fog machine and strobe lights attracted some extra candy goers.

POO POO

"Poo poo" is what Johnny and Shaine are now saying when they have a full diaper.  Whenever the kiddos have a poopie diaper I always take them to the bathroom and clean them up with some warm water.  This morning Johnny was going poopie, and when he was done I asked him..."Johnny, do you have poo poo?"  He said "poo poo", and ran over to the bathroom to get cleaned up.  About 10 minutes later Shaine walked up to me and placed her hand on her bum bum taking me over to the changing table.  I asked her if she had poopies, and she said "no".  She didn't have poo poo, but a really wet diaper that she was ready to get out of.  This is a great milestone for the kiddos, and definitely for mommy & daddy.  I recently read that when your children recognize they are uncomfortable with wet diapers they are a step closer to potty training.  I am so tired of diapers.  ----Well, I don't have any photos to post today.  Just wanted to share this exciting news.  We're very excited to go to California soon and see my family.  I can't wait!!  I also can't wait for great grandma to see her 2nd set of boy/girl twins.  Yes!!  That's right!!  My cousins Scott & Stephanie(twins). 40 yrs. later and she now has great grand twins.  YEAH!!!!!!!!!!

Smarty Pants- Smarty Pants

The twins are very active and becoming more and more vocal as the days pass.  I would like to share some of the cute things that they're doing.  The kids have KIIS FM radio on their bedroom so they recognize almost every pop song that comes on.  They're even singing along.-(BAD MOMMY)!  Why do I say bad mommy?  Because now Shaine and Johnny have been saying "Ga Ga".  I exposed them to the music videos of all the songs they like so now they point to the T.V., and  say "ga ga" to watch Lady Ga Ga videos.  They also like Katy Perry, and Bruno Mars.
Lately Johnny's favorite word is "no".  He also likes to say "hi" to everyone he sees.  It's pretty dang cute, but it becomes troublesome when we're out to eat.  He rather watch all the people and say hello instead of eating.  He also says "bye bye" allot.  Today I was at the top of the stairs waving at Johnny saying, "come upstairs".  Johnny waved back at me saying, "down".  This made me laugh...what a smarty pants.
Shaine says hi and bye, but it usually takes her a while to warm up to people.  Mike and I think she might be ready to potty train soon.  3 days ago she came up to me and said,"poop" while grabbing her bottom.  Sure enough she had poopies.  This is awesome!!  She is also so sweet and thoughtful.  Johnny was sick yesterday and she brought him his blanket and water on her own.  What a doll.  She spent the day with daddy while mommy took care of Johnny.  I can never say enough about her.  She is such a smarty pants too.
Both tots know all their farm animals and can make all the sounds except for the pig.  Oink must be a tough one.  They also know many others like owl, lion, frog etc.  If we're reading about something that they have actually seen like a lady bug, or frog they start talking up a storm and pointing outside as if to say "we have a lady bug outside mom, and we saw a frog on the wall".   They also know a bit of sign language.  Theses are the words that they can sign...hat, more, cookie, socks, and shoes. There are so many other things that they can say or do, but I don't want to write a novel.  Enjoy the latest pictures and videos.

Shaylee and Lexi

It was pretty cold outside so we jumped into daddy's truck to play, and listen to the radio.  Our adorbale neighbors Shaylee and Lexi stopped by to say "hi" to the kiddos.  The twins love these 2 girls.  We're gonna have to get them to babysit one of these days.
