Johnny's Buzz Cut...Again

Well, we decided to buzz off Johnny's hair for the summer.  It's a tough adjustment, but it will always grow back.  The boy just admits so much body heat.  For those who are not aware body heat helps speed up hair growth and his hair grows so fast.  Not only does it grow fast, but it's pretty thick.  He kept telling us he wanted a haircut so off with his hair!!!!

AquaSox Baseball Game

Saturday we met Grandma and Grandpa at the Aquasox game and we had a great time.  The weather was beautiful and Johnny and Shaine sure kept us busy.  We couldn't ask for better seats for $8.00...front row and no obstructions...except for Webley the mascot who seemed to really enjoy Johnny and Shaine's company.  Johnny and Shaine were so sweet to that silly frog.  Webley let them kiss his big old froggy tongue.

New Bath Toys/Games

Looking for something new to do in the bathtub with your kiddos???  Give this a try...Johnny and Shaine really enjoy this.  I wish I can say this was my idea, but it wasn't.  Buy some foam sheets at any craft store for .50 cents and cut a bunch of shapes. The foam not only sticks to the wall, but everything else.

On our way to see the Lighthouse...listen to Johnny when he first starts talking...he says "You promised to see lighthouse"...that's pretty funny for a 2yr.old.

Fort Camp Casey

Johnny and Shaine have been wanting to see a lighthouse so we decided to take them to Fort Camp Casey.    It's a wonderful place to visit.  Not only can you climb into the old bunkers, but walk along the beach.  Fort Casey State Park is located on Whidbey Island in Washington state. Admiralty Inlet was considered so strategic to the defense of Puget Sound in the 1890s that three forts, Fort Casey on Whidbey Island, Fort Flagler on Marrowstone Island, and Fort Worden at Port Townsend, were built at the entrance with huge guns creating a "Triangle of Fire." This military strategy was built on the theory that the three fortresses would thwart any invasion attempt by sea. Fort Casey is now a 467 acres (1.89 km2) marine camping park enjoy the gorgeous view.  It was a little damp, but we had a wonderful time and the kids were so excited about climbing up into the lighthouse.  The USS Nimitz is currently 20 mins. away from us in Everett so hopefully we'll get to visit the ship the first week of August.
