Scratchy Voice

The kids had colds last week and Shaine had the cutest, scratchy voice.  I decided to shoot a short video of her talking, but kids say the silliest things.

HALLOWEEN

We didn't get too many pictures for Halloween, but the kids had a great time!  Shaine was Cinderella and Johnny a skeleton.  Thank you so much grandma Mary and Grandpa Mike who came over to hand out candy too all the kids who came to our door. Mike and I were out with Johnny and Shaine for about an hour, and then we came home and Johnny & Shaine took over candy duty.  I think they enjoyed handing out candy more than trick-or-treating.  Thanks again grandma and grandpa for bringing us pizza and helping us out again on Halloween

Scary Zombie

 Last year we bought a scary zombie to spook the trick-or-treaters for this Halloween.  Mike decided to put him together inside the house for a trial run.  Johnny was really afraid of this guy.  He is pretty creepy, especially for a 3 year old.  Here's a video of our zombie...

THE ZOMBIES ARE HERE!!!!!

The twins love Halloween and like Christmas they talk about it all year long.  They also talk about Michael Jackson's "Thriller" and love to watch the video.  Both Johnny and Shaine sing "Thriller", but just in last few days they have been reenacting the video.  I've grabbed the camera for some of their Zombie antics, but my favorite video is the Zombies in the bathtub.  There is a Zombie in the music video that spits out blood from it's mouth.  Shaine was pretending to be that scary guy in the bathtub so I decided to add some red and green food coloring to the water to make it interesting.  Hope y'all get a good laugh like I did!!

Our dad Richard Dragland took a trip to San Antonio, Texas for one of his veterans meetings and collapsed today.  He is currently in the emergency room, but we have no further details at this moment.  Lynda (wife) and Mike are flying out tomorrow to be by his side.  We ask for your prayers.
 

WE STARTED PRESCHOOL TODAY!!!!!

Johnny and Shaine started their first official class of preschool today.  On Monday we had orientation so the kids can meet their teacher and explore their classroom, and today is their first day without mom and dad.  Oh boy, I had a feeling the kids would get upset when they found out mommy was leaving.  They entered the classroom and picked out their name tags, but as soon as I started to walk out both of them started crying and chasing after me.  I had to shut the door and head out quickly.  I wasn't sad about leaving them because they are only in school 2 days a week for a couple hours a day, but it was tough not being able to console them.  I pick them up at 11:30 so I'm anxious to see how they're doing.  The kids are enrolled in a Christian Preschool and both Mike and I are excited to see them learn and grow.
